 Halo Infinite's free multiplayer mode has been released early – it's available now on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.


Microsoft is surprising Xbox fans today with an early launch for Halo Infinite multiplayer. Rumors of the early Halo Infinite multiplayer drop appeared over the weekend, and Microsoft is now making it official as part of today’s 20-year Xbox anniversary.

While the official release date for Halo Infinite has been Dec. 8 for some time now, Microsoft and 343 Industries have surprised the gaming community by releasing Halo Infinite's multiplayer early on Xbox and PC.


The game's full suite of multiplayer content, including 4v4 Arena, 12v12 Big Team Battle, and the Academy training mode, is now fully available. The Halo Infinite campaign is still slated to launch on Dec. 8 for $60, and can be purchased ahead of its release since Halo Infinite pre orders are live.


As part of the recent Halo Infinite technical preview, players got the chance to test its 4v4 Arena battles and 12v12 Big Team Battle contests.
