Minecraft new launcher installation issue, not working for many, workaround inside.

 Minecraft launcher installation issue affects many player . Installation problems on surface.

 Recently it is being noticed that many users of the Minecraft game are facing issues with it's new launcher update.

Users are not able to open the new launcher.

" I've owned Minecraft: Java Edition for several years. Two days ago I migrate my Mojang account to my Microsoft account. Everything went fine until tonight, when I entered the launcher to play and was met with an update screen for a new launcher. I downloaded the new launcher, and uninstalled the old launcher after seeing a message that I didn't need it anymore. I entered the new launcher, signed in through Microsoft, and was met with a message that I didn't own Minecraft. When I went to the Minecraft website to try redownloading, I clicked on the Minecraft Installer.exe but it wouldn't open. I also tried logging in with my Mojang account but of course I was unsuccessful, as my account had been migrated to Microsoft. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a fix?"

Many users are complaining that it was better to use the previous launcher instead of this new one.

I tried to install the new launcher today, but when I tried to launch it, it didn't open. Nothing at all happened to indicate it was working. I tried reinstalling Minecraft, removing the old launcher, etc. but it doesn't want to open. Using the old launcher again now, and it works perfectly save for the fact it spams me with the prompt to uninstall the old launcher.

Users are restarting their system several times but the issue remains the same.

"Is anyone else getting this error when installing the new minecraft launcher on the microsoft store. I've restarted my pc 3 times and when i've searched the error code on google it hasn't come up with anything that's worked. Help please"

Regarding this issue there is a fixing process to fix it:

Here’s how to fix it...

0) close minecraft and the launcher

navigate to %appdata%\Roaming.minecraft

duplicate the file called "launcher_profiles.json"

delete the file called "launcher_profiles_microsoft_store.json" (if you don’t have it, skip)

rename the copy you made in step 2) as "launcher_profiles_microsoft_store.json"

you’re done! re-open the launcher and your installations should be there.

Thanks to the minecraft community a youtube video gave a strong fix regarding minecraft launcher issue.

Finally minecraft aware of this issue and currently working on a fix.
