The Genshin Impact 2.3 release date is November 24. The new rerun banners also launch on this day, letting us Wish for Eula and Albedo.
As always, Update 2.3 will be free for all players across all platforms. With that said, let's dive in and check out everything you can expect when it launches.
Looking for a round up of what's new in the Genshin Impact 2.3 update? The winter update, 'Shadows Amidst Snowstorms,' sees us venture back to Dragonspine for the annual Adventurers' Guild winter training. We'll perform gruelling exercises such as building snowmen, but will also get to take part in a sinister-looking quest involving Albedo and Eula, tying into the rerun banners featuring them both.
Back in Inazuma we'll face the new Golden Wolflord boss, investigate a spate of animal disappearances across the islands, and a mysterious warrior dog who seems to be responsible. Speaking of dogs: Canine commander, Gorou, is also arriving as part of the same banner as Oni-delinquent, Arataki Itto. Other than that, there's the usual roster of returning events, new weapons, character quests, and features for the Genshin Impact teapot.

Events:
Shadows Amidst Snowstorms: Players will be challenged around Dragonspine in a series of agility, tracking, and combat training mini-games. Players will also be able to build a puffy snowman. Because 'tis the season.
Bantan Sango Case Files: The Warrior Dog: The Bantan Sango Detective Agency teams up with the Adventurer's Guild in Inazuma to investigate the mysterious disappearance of small animals all around the region. As a reward, players will be able to obtain a gadget that can replicate some of these animals in the Serenitea Pot.
Misty Dungeon: Realm of Light: Enter a new domain described as a "place of profound secrets."
Energy Amplifier Fruition: Hosseini makes a reappearance with a new Energy Amplifier that can alter and buff your abilities in battle.
Marvelous Merchandise: A new merchant has come to Mondstadt with limited-time deals on items.
Hangouts: Hangouts for Beidou and Gorou have been added.
GENSHIN IMPACT 2.3 NEW CHARACTERS
There are two new Genshin Impact characters arriving as part of the 2.3 update – Arataki Itto and Gorou. Itto is a Geo claymore user and the leader of the Arataki gang, described by Mihoyo as “fast as the wind and mighty as thunder”. Gorou is a Geo bow user and a general in the Sangonomiya Resistance.
GENSHIN IMPACT 2.3 BANNERS
Itto and Gorou will feature on a banner during the second half of the 2.3 update, as five and four-star characters respectively. 2.3 launches with two character event wishes simultaneously, featuring Albedo and Eula, but they share the same wish guarantee count.
Arataki Itto
Genshin Impact 2.3 will introduce a number of new and returning characters, with one of the most hyped being Arataki Itto – a mysterious character who dominates the battlefield with powerful Geo attacks.
Itto wields a Claymore and has a four-hit basic attack combo, which gains increased power. His Elemental Skill (Masatsu Zetsugi: Akaushi Burst!) hurls out a raging bull that deals Geo damage to enemies hit. Once the bull has finished charging, it will stay on the battlefield and taunt nearby enemies. Itto also gains one stack of Superlative Super Strength – a passive that enables him to unleash empowered attacks.
Lastly, Itto’s Elemental Burst (Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil!) unleashes a flurry of devastating Geo hits that deal damage based off of his DEF. During this state, Itto also gains increased ATK SPD and resistances.
Itto is described as “fast as the wind and mighty as thunder” and is an “intrepid man with Oni blood running through his veins.” Despite his demonic looks, Itto is known for his kindness and competitive nature. In fact, the Arataki Gang helps rid Inazuma of any troublemakers.
Gorou
Gorou is another character that will be released in Genshin Impact’s 2.3 update. The Inazuman resistance fighter is known for his courage and loyalty, stopping at nothing to fight Baal’s Vision Hunt Decree.
As a general in Sangonomiya Kokomi’s army, Gorou is no stranger to the hardships of battle. Gorou’s Elemental Skill (Inuzuka All Round-Defense) deals AoE Geo DMG and grants various defensive bonuses to those that stand within the ability’s radius.
His Elemental Burst (Juuga: Forward Unto Victory) deals further AoE DMG, buffing fellow Geo units, and has the same effects as the war banner from his Elemental Skill.
Gorou is officially described as having a “beast-like fighting intuition and tenacious will,” which enables him to “find a way to victory even in the most critical moments.” It’s this reliability that makes Gorou such a strong fighter in the Sangonomiya Resistance.
Albedo
Albedo will get a rerun in Version 2.3 and will be the second 5-star character alongside Arataki Itto. This inquisitive knight is the Captain of the Favonius Knights Investigation Team, which pioneers the research of Teyvat.
Using Geo-based skills and deadly sword swings, Albedo can quickly crush his foes, dealing huge amounts of AoE damage to those that dare get in his way. The Albedo rerun is just one of the many returning 5-star characters that will be making a reappearance.
Eula
Eula is a deadly claymore user that freezes her opponents with ice-cold blasts and bursts them down with lethal sword swings. As a member of Mondstadt’s old aristocracy, Eula aims to break free from the tyrannical rule of her bloodline and set out on her own path.
Eula will also appear alongside Albedo in a new rerun banner. Eula is currently the 7th Cryo unit in the game, joining the likes of Ganyu, QiQi, and Rosaria.
