Battlefield 2042 mouse movement not working.
Battlefield 2042 is the latest installment to the long-running Battlefield franchise. Since its launch, this FPS video game has reached plenty of gamers worldwide.
However, lately, some Battlefield 2042 players are reporting a new issue with this video game which occurred after the latest 3 patch.
According to reports some gamers are complaining of horizontal mouse movement issues. As a result, those affected took to Reddit and Twitter to raise a complaint about the same.
Users say that since they have downloaded the latest 3 update, the mouse does not respond to horizontal movements and it only moves the crosshair up and down.
This is a bit concerning as it makes the whole game unplayable. But fortunately, the Battlefield team has acknowledged this issue bothering PC players and provided a workaround to fix it.
workaround
Fix 1- PC Users, If you are experiencing mouse issues where it is not possible to aim left/right after the update, try the following:
Reset your keybindings or delete the Battlefield 2042 folder in your Documents.
Fix 2 - A less radical way to fix this:
in your PROFSAVE_profile located in \Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings
Remove the lines that start with:
"GstKeyBinding.infantry.ConceptYaw"
Then save and start the game again.
Fix 3 - Potentially less "drastic" way to fix it is to reset the following sections of in-game options:
- Mouse & Keyboard > OnFoot
- Mouse & Keyboard > OnFoot > KeyBindings > Movement.
A user suggested (clearing (holding ESC) the arrow key mappings for on-foot movement worked for me.) Source
