The newest event in Hunt: Showdown allows players to unlock new Legendary items with a festive vibe, while the horror is still very.
Hunt: Showdown's Winter Solstice event kicks off on December 15, 2021 and runs until January 5, 2022. Hunt: Showdown maps will feature Solstice Tributes until January 5, 2022; players should destroy these to gather event points. As with previous events, investigating clues, rifts, and looting hunter corpses will also add to the points haul. Event boosters - called Chary's Contracts - will be available to aid event point collection and Dark Sight range. Additionally, The Lawless DLC, featuring the Legendary Hunter 'The Gunslinger' and Legendary Weapons Winfield M1873 Aperture 'The Accomplice' and the Scottfield Revolver 'Felon's Six,' is available now on Steam and will be available on consoles on December 16, 2021.
Winter Solstice is coming in Hunt: Showdown. The newest event looks to bring a bevy of exclusive rewards, visual changes to the world and gameplay, and more. The wintery event arrives in Hunt: Showdown just in time for the holidays.
Crytek has expanded the Hunt: Showdown experience over the past few years, introducing themed updates in 2020, including the Blood and Ice event in Hunt: Showdown that has similar elements to this Winter Solstice event. The game has been heavily supported since it launched in an early access state on PC and then Xbox. New maps, bosses, weapons, and gameplay changes have long been a part of the roadmap formula. However, the introduction of events has added a new twist to what fans can enjoy.
The Winter Solstice event in Hunt: Showdown will begin December 15, 2021, and last through January 5, 2022. Crytek recently released a trailer showcasing the event, and the developer also hosted a live stream. Players will be able to progress and collect five Legendary Items and a new Legendary Hunter by collecting Event Points.
The points can be earned by exploring and destroying Solstice Tributes hidden around the festive map, taking down and looting dead enemy Hunters, investigating clues, killing bosses, and more. The game has been dressed up for the holiday occasion, and perhaps more Hunt: Showdown easter eggs can be found during this event. Players will also be able to fit right into the Winter Solstice event when they unlock the Evergreen Derringer, the Spirit of Yule Fire Bomb, the Legendary Hunter Devil's Advocate, and more.
Along with the new content for the Winter Solstice event, the Legendary items from last year's Blood and Ice event will also be available for a limited time. Players can purchase legendary tools and weapons--such as the Nutcracker Duster--with Blood Bonds (Hunt: Showdown's in-game currency). The highlight here may be the Skinflint Legendary Hunter, who is a Hunt: Showdown version of Ebenezer Scrooge.
Hunt: Showdown continues to grow as a perhaps niche but beloved and unique multiplayer shooter. The mix of intensity, horror-like elements, and distinct blend of PvP and PvE gameplay create a special experience. The world itself is filled with lore and interesting room for storytelling, which is conceivably why Hunt: Showdown is getting its own live-action series. The show is set to arrive in 2022, and if it captures the imagination of the game, it could be a very unique and memorable series.
