Toggle Airplane mode
Try turning airplane mode on then off. Turning airplane mode off and on is a great first step in fixing connectivity issues on mobile devices and many reddit users are able to fix the picture not loading on the reddit app just by this step.

Try different network
IF you are facing the issue try connecting to different networks like mobile data or WIFI network. If you don’t have any WIFI nearby to connect to , try another mobile carrier on a friend 's phone. Seems like the media/WIFI/picture not loading is linked to some network like Verizon, att.
Fix 3
Turn off VPN
If you are using any VPN app /setting on your iPhone/ phone then this could be the reason why images are not loading on the reddit app. Try to stop VPN service and check if it helps. On the other side if you are not using any VPN app and see if it helps, it may work as a temporary solution.
Fix 4
Disable adguard
If you are using any app like Adgurad, Blokada which are basically to stop javascript execution to stop ads, then this may be the reason for the reddit app not to load the images/ video. Uninstall third party apps like adguard and check if it helps
Fix 5
Reset the router settings
Your router comes with two frequencies 5Ghz and 2.5 GHz. You can check this from the router setting page. If the 5GHz network will not load up anything, try changing the setting to 2.4 GHz network and images should load fine. Otherwise try resetting the router to default setting and this may fix the issue.
Fix 6
Try reddit web browser
This is a workaround . If no picture/video is loading on wifi/ mobile data on the reddit app then try using reddit in any web browser it works just fine though.

Wait for some time
The images could not be loaded due to some server side error on the reddit servers. For that please wait for some time and the images will start appearing again after sometime. If it does not work check for any pending for the reddit app on your phone.
