There is a workaround to fix low sound issues in Roku TV shows, try changing the sound mode on the options menu to something with different settings and it should fix the issue. So while you're watching something, press the * on the Roku remote, go to audio mode and just change it. You should hear the volume change and then you can put it back to your preference.

Another workaround to fix low audio sound on Roku is to turning the volume completely down then restarting it or unplugging it and restarting it, seems to quickly resolve the issue
