Spotify equalizer presets missing or removed from iOS & iPadOS app

Spotify has been one of the most popular music streaming services for years. The company offers a wide catalog of songs and albums in constant expansion.

Spotify also became a podcast platform some time ago, allowing you to have your favorite podcasts grouped together with your playlists or albums in one place.

To enhance the experience, Spotify offers various tools and features. For instance, there is an equalizer that allows you to adjust the audio to your liking, or choose between different presets according to the music genre.

However, many users report that the Spotify equalizer presets are now missing from the iOS and iPadOS app after a recent update .

Spotify presets are different settings that are best suited to a particular music type or genre. They allow an immediate change in the audio without forcing you to spend time adjusting the equalizer manually.

Presets also allow you to adjust the audio for more specific conditions, such as boosting the bass. But, currently the Spotify app equalizer presets are missing for users on iOS and iPadOS devices .

Equalizer Options Gone?

For some reason on Equalizer all the options such as “Bass Booster” and “Small Speakers” are gone idk if there is some update Spotify is doing. It’s such a cool feature but I’ve tried restarting my phone and refreshing the app nothing works anyone know why?

Equalizer is there but the genre based options are not

So I have access to the equalizer but when I switch it on, the options of all the genres to change the equalizer accordingly aren’t there! I’ve tried reinstalling, rebooting the phone and have had no luck. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Apparently, the Spotify update that caused the problem is v8.7.10 (iOS and iPadOS). So, as a potential workaround, you can try downgrading the Spotify app to an older version.

However, it’s worth pointing out that the process of downgrading an app on iOS requires having an iTunes backup, which prevents some users from being able to do so.
