For years now, YouTube has retained its place as the most popular video-sharing service in the world. Ranking second in terms of overall internet traffic, the platform is still increasing in terms of user base and watch hours.

With a revenue of somewhere around $20 billion in 2020, YouTube has more than 2 billion users worldwide.

But as is the case with every online service, users are no strangers when it comes to bugs and glitches, with many recently reporting about the missing playback speed button on some Smart TVs, Chromebooks and other devices.

Having said that, YouTube users are now saying (1,2,3,4,5) that they are unable to watch any videos on their own channel using web browsers. Many say that the videos simply fail to load, making it impossible to watch one’s own work.

It looks like the problem is mainly affecting those trying to watch the videos on PC using Chrome, but other browsers are also reportedly affected.

Users say they tried generic solutions such as clearing browser data, disabling extensions, and clearing app cache amongst other things but nothing seems to be helping.

Below are some reports from YouTube users who are unable to watch their own videos on web browsers.

So had some stream problems last night and ever since, my videos aren’t loading on my channel for me. I tired signing into a different account and it works, my videos on that channel load. I tried on my phone and my videos load. But on pc when I’m signed into my YouTube account and browser nothing loads. It just does the loading symbol and says “an error occured. Please try again later. (Playback ID:) and some other stuff.

if I’m on my account I can’t see my own videos, there is a black screen with the symbol of loading and after a while a error screen appeared, I’ve already tried using another account and I can’t see the videos of that account either. I tried to reinstall Chrome and nothing. I also tried to format the PC but it didn’t work. It only worked if I used another device or browser. Does anyone know how to solve it?

Thankfully, YouTube has commented on the matter and said they are looking into the issue where creators are unable to watch their own videos on web browsers. However, there is no timeframe on when it will be fixed.

We’re aware of this issue w/ creators unable to play their own videos & already looking into it.

Until then, those affected can try switching their web browsers since it has fixed the problem for some.
