Twitch Drops Aren’t Your Last Chance For Overwatch 2 Beta Access, Thanks To The Overwatch League
It's time for another Overwatch League season.
If you missed out on claiming Overwatch 2 beta access through today’s mega Twitch Drops campaign, all is not lost. The Overwatch League will give away thousands of beta keys during its opening weekend.
OWL postponed the first two weeks of matches in the East due to COVID-19 protocols, so all of the opening weekend games take place during the afternoon and evening in the Americas. They start at 3PM Eastern time ach day between May 5 and May 8. You can see the full week 1 schedule here:

I assumed since the beta access would be given as a twitch drop it would be shown under the drops page on twitch, but I don't see it there. Does anyone know whether it is going to be added or will these drops work differently from the usual way twitch drops work?

As an update, we have finished investigating reports for players who have claimed their Beta drop but not yet received access to the Beta:
Many of these players have not yet actually linked their Battle.Net account to their Twitch account and must do that first - Linking Your Twitch or Youtube Account - Blizzard Support has instructions
For those players who have linked their accounts already, we expect to complete processing license grants in the next hour. Thank you for your patience.

Hey folks,
Do NOT disconnect and reconnect your Blizzard accounts. This may cause further delays.
The TLDR: we are seeing very few errors in granting of the license. The system is processing beta access being granted, however it may take several hours to do so, especially if you connected your Blizz/Twitch accounts later in the day (or after the campaign had begun).
We know that folks are eagerly anticipating playing the beta, and I am sorry if you’re experiencing severe FOMO right now. Please be reassured we’re working through the entire list of claims, and that the beta lasts for over 2 more weeks
Remember to verify your account is linked at account.battle.net/connections 47 and at Twitch 139, but do NOT disconnect and reconnect, otherwise it might be delayed further.
2022 Schedule
1,500 keys will be given away each hour during opening weekend of season 5. According to the rad announcement trailer, codes will be given away during other select matches.
