Owned by Amazon, Goodreads is a popular social cataloging website where users can review and discuss books and quotes amongst other things.
As of July 2019, the book review and recommendation website had more than 90 million registered users.
That said, many Goodreads users are now reporting that the website and app is down or not working at the moment.
Some initially thought it was a problem on their end and tried resetting their internet connection, clearing browser cache, deleting cookies, and even trying a new browser but nothing seems to help.
Many are expressing their frustration on social media platforms like Twitter. You can see in the image below the error some are getting when trying to use the service.

Unfortuantely, there is no official word from Goodreads if the app and website is down or not except the support page suggesting users to reinstall the app.
We hope the developers soon find out the root cause of the problem and update this space as and when we come across more information.
