Choppy bluetooth audio for years. Happens with Airpods, Bose, JBL, and both intel/M1 macbooks. Headphones connect fine but then stutter or cut out for a second every few minutes. Found this old forum that seems to make sense but not sure how to fix the problem

I've had this exact problem with both Apple and third-party accessories for years, as well. It was especially problematic with my 2011 MBP 15, whenever I used the on-board Bluetooth. This is also included "upgrading" the WiFi/BT card that was lifted from a newer Mac. I still prefer Apple devices for my productivity, just definitely frustrating to experience.
ReplyDeleteI've long settled on using wired, dedicated 2.4GHz/BT dongles (like ModMic BT) if available. When I use Bluetooth, I only have one active device with the exception when my H1 audio (AirPods, Beats, and what not) stuff starts passively connecting itself to my other devices.
