A TikTok challenge that goes by the name “Angel of Death” has reportedly claimed the lives of two people.
TikTok has become popular ever since the app motivated people to try out different trends and challenges that have become famous on the platform.
While some of these trends are harmless, others have been dangerous. Trends like the blue whale challenge and the blackout challenge are banned from the platform after people were hurt trying them out. Now, another dangerous trend called Angel of Death is something everyone should be warned about.
What we know about the Angel of Death challenge
As per Insider, the challenge asks people to jump in front of a moving vehicle. The challenge is won by the person if the vehicle happens to stop before hitting the individual.
The outlet notes that the challenge was tried by two teenagers from Insider. The locations have noted that as many as 14 teenagers were detained as they tried to pull out the challenge.
The Angel of Death challenge had become extremely famous in Indonesia with several people carrying it out. The local authorities also noted there were many videos that glorified this dangerous trend.
