The gas mask animation in Warzone is still ruining games and players want another change to how this equipment works!
The Warzone Pacific update was the biggest the game has ever seen. Not only did it add a brand new tropical map, Caldera, but it also brought plenty of changes to the game too.
In fact, all of the changes in the Warzone Pacific update tweaked how plenty of the equipment in the game works. This includes the often clunky gas mask.
However, players still aren’t happy and want even more changes to how the gas mask works in Warzone.
Warzone Players Want Button to Equip Gas Mask
If you’ve played Warzone, you’ve most likely encountered a frustrating issue with the animation of equipping your gas mask.
Not being in control of when you equip your gas mask in Warzone led to plenty of untimely deaths. This is because it would stop players from shooting, reloading, or even pulling their parachutes.
Developer Raven Software attempted to fix this in the Warzone Pacific update by making the gas mask animation interrupt fewer actions. Although, players are still having problems with this breathing equipment.
A new post on the Warzone subreddit asks for a feature that would fix this issue – a gas mask toggle. This is just the latest call in a series of pleas asking for Raven to change gas masks in Warzone.
By having a button for players to equip or take off their gas masks, it would be completely controllable. Therefore, if players had any gas mask issues, it would be because of their mistake rather than an automatic animation disrupting gameplay.
Why Raven Software hasn’t implemented this yet or even made it an optional setting is unknown. However, many players will continue to hope that an ‘equip’ button will come to Warzone and end the struggles with the gas mask animations.
