Fix : Delete and reinstall the app
The Spotify Shuffle issue seems to be with software glitch of the app and to temporarily fix that try to logout from App and uninstall the Spotify app. Download it again from AppStore or Play Store and check if it works. If you are using an Android device, before re-installing the app please clear the cache and check again.
Fix: Try to manually select a song
There is a workaround to fix the Spotify shuffle not working , just pick a song in the playlist you haven’t heard in a while. Start your shuffle on that song. It should break up the selected songs from the Shuffle list.
Fix : Try to reorder you playlist
Another option to fix the Spotify Shuffle option is to reorder the song list before playing shuffle mode. For example if you set the playlist to sort in alphabetical order and listen to it all the way through, it might reset the shuffle. You could also try downloading the playlist or clearing your cache from your phone/device
Fix: Check Play Queue
For many Spotify users the Shuffle will not work if there is anything in your Play Queue. Go to the Play Queue (in the Windows version of Spotify , it is in the first group of the menu on the left-hand side. Select all (Ctrl-A) and Delete. Then select a playlist and it should shuffle normally. This could be due to a software glitch.
Fix : Try "Spectify"
If Spotify shuffle is not working for you then you have another option to install Spotify and add the extension Shuffle+, where shuffle will work fine and your songs truly randomly. To do that =-> When you click the 3 dots button next to a playlist, it adds an option to shuffle with Shuffle+, and you can also do this by selecting songs and right clicking.
