Many MacBook/ iPhone users are facing issues with using the internet over Safari. The internet is not working on Safari browsers only and shows the message "You are not connected to the internet". The internet is working fine on Google Chrome and other web browsers but only not working with Safari.

The issue started after updating the MacBook to the new OS version and Safari suddenly stopped working. This is annoying for the users who are fond of using the internet over Mac. It seems that network drivers are working fine  as the internet on safari is not working on mac but chrome does.

How to fix Safari saying it is not connected to the internet on Mac 2022?

Fix : Disk Utility repair

If the internet is not working after the OS update then you should check for repair permission in the MacBook.

    -Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities)

-Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab.

    -Click: Repair Disk Permissions.

-When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

-After you see "Permissions Repair Complete" you're done.

    - Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Fix : Delete Cache.db  from the mac Library

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db.

Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Fix :  Use Assist Setting

To fix Safari not being able to open the webpage -> Go to System Preferences > Network > Assist me > Connect to the internet And it should solve the issue.
