Several users have been complaining that their TikTok has been under review when they try to upload a new video to the platform. So why exactly is this happening and is the platform down in 2022?
TikTok has become a famous platform where every minute a user uploads a video and hope for it to gain a lot of attention, and if lucky, even go viral.
While all this sounds good, it becomes quite hard when you are not able to upload any videos on the platform.
USERS COMPLAIN THEIR TIKTOKS ARE UNDER REVIEW 2022
On June 19, several people came forward and revealed they had been experiencing some problems uploading a video to the platform.
People pointed out that there were notified their TikToks were under review and would be posted once the review was completed. Many people have come out and expressed their disappointment over this as some pointed out their videos were harmless.
One user wrote: “I decide to post on TikTok and TikTok decides to put my videos under review UH BITNSBFN WHY.” Another echoed similar thoughts and wrote: “why does TikTok keep putting my videos under review when there’s nothing wrong with them.”
WHY DOES TIKTOK PUT VIDEOS UNDER REVIEW?
There are several reasons why TikToks are put under review and the most common one is that something has been flagged in it.
TikTok has strict guidelines as to what goes on the platform as there are users who belong to different age groups and some content may not be favorable to a particular group.
Most of the time, TikTok tends to flag content around bullying, violence, blood, and others. However, looking at how several people have been getting the under review message, it looks like at the moment there is a bug on the platform.
Even Down Detector noted that several users have been experiencing problems with the app. It seems to be specific to users who are in the US. Some users also noted that their videos had not been loading while others noted it showed they did not have any internet connection.
Looking at this, it seems like the platform has been down for several users.
IS THERE A WAY TO FIX THIS?
At the moment, there is unfortunately no way to fix this. Users will just have to wait for the platform to fix. Sometimes, it tends to be back to normal automatically.
In other cases, people may have to update their app. Make sure you check your App Store or the Play Store to ensure your app is updated.
