Here’s today’s Wordle Answer for 486 Words, released October 18, 2022, and some pointers to help you solve it.
Wordle There is a very popular word game that has become viral due to the results being posted on social media by the players and the simplicity of the game. The objective is to guess a five-letter American English word in six or fewer guesses.
No preliminary clues are given about what the word might be, but once you guess, the tiles will change color giving you more information about the letters of the word. The three different colors that tiles can turn into are grey, yellow or green.
Gray indicates that the letter you guessed is not in the word at all, so you should avoid using it in future guesses. Yellow indicates that the letter appears in the word, but not in the position you have now. Green indicates that you have guessed the correct letter and placed it in the correct place, the color you want to see!
Wordle Game – How To Play
There is also a hard mode to the game in which you are forced to use any correctly guessed letters from the previous row in every guess. You may already do this, but there are times when there are multiple answers for a word and you need to guess a word that has possible letters to help you solve the word. You will not be able to with this mod. If you find it too hard you can always turn it back on during the game.

Here’s how I managed to solve Wordle 486 in four guesses today. I guessed the word ‘audio’ first, which is my usual starter word and it showed me that the answer contains an I but it is not placed in the correct position.
The next word I guessed was ‘vince’ because it puts the I in a different position along with using it and the E, which is the last vowel to be guessed. It didn’t position the words and letters correctly but showed me there was an e.
I thought the vowels would be located next to each other so I guessed the word ‘spiel’. It correctly placed the I and also showed me that the word contains an S, although it is not an initial letter.
Since the e and i don’t appear together in the answer, the word has to start with an e because I already know it doesn’t end in that letter. Looking at the letters I had left, I managed to solve the answer for Wordal 486 in my next guess, which is…
